2019 ‘Textile & Flesh’ – a solo that deals with the female body and its representation. concept and choreography by Aharona Israel to dancer/performer Yuval Gal. 45 min. Supported by Ministry of Culture and Sport, The National Lottery’s Art and Culture Council and by residencies at ‘Re-Search’ Center and Sadnaot Habama Tel Aviv.
2018 ‘Proportion’ – choreographic performance to a female body and a gaze. created and performed by Aharona Israel. Premier at ‘Intimadance festival’, Tmuna Theather Tel aviv. 30 min. With the support of ministry of culture, Tmuna theater, ‘RE-search’ School of dance, ‘Stage-center’ Tel aviv.
2017 – ‘Chameleon’ – work in process performances. created by: Aharona Israel. Performed by: Dana Hirsch Laiser & Aharona Israel. 30 min. Performances at ‘Research festival’, Haboostan theater Natanya, Machol Lohet festival, Suzan Dalan dance center Tel aviv. 20 min With the support of ‘RE-search’ School of dance, Stage-center Tel aviv.
2015-17 ‘Taṇhā’ – choreography for 3 dancers and a musician. Premiered at MASH festival Jerusalem Performances: the Jerusalem international dance week, ‘Hateiva’ theater Tel-aviv, ‘Kelim’ choreography center Bat-yam and as part of a special performance night at ‘Gabirol’ Gallery Tel aviv. Choreography: Aharona Israel. Dance: Lena Peled, Avraham Hazin, Ady Shildan. Live music and performance: David Gordon. 2012-2017 ‘Marathon’ – A physical theater performance. Conceived choreographed and directed by Aharona Israel. 60 min. 2006 ‘The Pre-history of Daily life’ – Quartet. Conceived and directed by Aharona Israel. Performed at ‘Improvisation festival Amsterdam, Muiderpoort Theater Amsterdam, OT301 Amsterdam. 20 min.
2005 ‘In between’ – In collaboration with Sonja Pregrad and music ensemble ‘To Be Sang’. 30 min. Performed at ‘Tufa festival’ Trier, Germany, Muiderpoort theater Amsterdam and I.D.E.A (International Dance Exchange Amsterdam).
2003 – “TLV – Reading into the making of a body” 25 min. Performance based on MA thesis by architect Iftah Arad. Invited by the Perdu poetry center & theater Amsterdam for a special event related to architecture and the arts. Directed by Aharona Isarel, Performed by Meri Nikula and Aharona Israel.
2003 – “False Game” – Quertet. Made as a respond to the invasion of the US to Iraq 2003. 35 min. Choreography by Aharona Israel. Dance: Sean Simon, Sarah Rustige, Aharona Israel. Performed in various theaters in Amsterdam (Ostade theater, Perdu theater, Muiderport theater).
2002-2004 – “A-live” A choreography for dancers and an MC by Aharona Israel. 30 min.A response to Sep ’11, the performance dealt with the themes of war and media from a personal perspective of an Israeli and a Croatian dancer. Performed in different theaters in Arnhem and Amsterdam and at the colors festival Amsterdam. Dance: Sonja Pregrad, Aharona Israel, Pablo Berias. Guest MC’s: Hidi Ferer, C.I.A, Goeffy G. (The performance host a different MC’s to compose a different text for each show).
‘Live Art’ Performances
2013/ 2021 – ‘At your service’ – ‘one on one’ performance for a single audience with blindfolds. 30 minutes. Concept and performance: Aharona Israel. Performed at ‘Summerworks festival’ Toronto‘13, and as part of ‘One moment #2’ event, Tel Aviv ‘15.
A new version was made on 2021 as a response to COVID-19 period, questioning relationship between audience and performer and the theme of physical distance. with the support of Rabinovitz fundation and Tel aviv Municipality.

Site specific works
2018 – ‘Family’ – a choreography for a real family at the Bat yam festival for a site specific location at the new promenade Bat yam. Performed by Yohanan familiy: Vicky Yohanan (63), Maayan Yohanan(33), Omer Yohanan(21), Gal Rozen(9). With the support of Bat yam municipality and ‘Factory’ Bat yam.
2013 – ‘It’s all about the pants’ – Conceived by Aharona Israel. Performed by Aharona Israel’s Ensemble, at ‘the 7th floor’ exhibition for street art, CS Tel Aviv. 2 performances. 15 min.
2009 – “To Have and To Have Not”– Aharona Israel & Einat Rave. 25 min. Performances took place in ‘Danon’ Gallery in Tel Aviv. In collaboration with visual artist Israel Rabinovitz and during his exhibition at the Gallery.
Collaborations
2009-2010 “The meeting” – A series of improvisation nights, held by Aharona Israel in collaboration with the musicians of Hagada Hasmalit’ Club, Tel-aviv. For each night different guests were invited by Aharona Israel to hold a 30 min instant performance. (Among them: Emmanuel Grivet (FR), Philip Smith (GB/IL), Einat Rave, Amit Azaz, Michael Shachrur and Aharona Israel (IL).
2008 – ‘Touch air’ – 4 improvisation performances at the urban environment of the city Enschede NL. 30 min. A research led by Pauline de groot, in collaboration with Aharona Israel, Jaap van derFlier, Thomas Körtvélyessy, Ailed Azuara.
2005 – “Con Sens Us” June ’05 Initiated by Thomas Körtvélyessy and Eva Tremel, con sens us is collaborative dialogue between the performer(s) and the environment through improvisation and kinetic awareness. The project was created by Thomas Körtvélyessy and Aharona Israel for Perambulaçao (collaborative art project that discusses urban and architecture issues) as a research taking part at the architecture bienale, Rotterdam 2005. 4 public performances took place in different locations in Rotterdam.
2003 – “Straat Opera” – Performance for 4 dancers in collaboration with video artist Monali Meher, at The Stubnitz boat project, Amsterdam.

2019 – Tornto, Canada. 2 weeks residency for research in collaboration with Kaeja d’dance company and the Israeli CI organization.

2006-2008 – “BodyLoungh” An interactive performance in which the audience in blind folded. Performed in different locations in the Netherlands and many festivals as July dance ‘06, woman inc. ‘07, the Stubniz boat project, Cultuurbal, Rapa nui, Fringe festival, prix du nuit/paradiso and many others.
2007 – Conlang #3 – A performance-installation by Francine Claassen. Performed as part of ‘performance lab’ Nijnmegen.
2007 – ‘Morpholand’ – living picture company may ’07.
Interactive site performance by visual artist Berczi Zsofia and Butoh Choreographer Yumiko Yoshioka. Performed in Schloss Broillin (DE) and fort Monostor (HU) over May ’07.
2006 – “Quiver”– Installation for 6 performers and electronic sound by Victorine Muller and Kirsten Reese. Performed as part of “indentifixatie” multimedia evening in Staadschouwburg Amsterdam.
“The United kingdom” An interactive performance night of 4-5 hours, directing Felix Ruckert –13 performances during months sep-oct at the ‘Tacheles’ center, Berlin.
“Café urgency” Instant composition by David Lakein, improvisation festival muiderpoort theater Amsterdam.
2005 – “Axolotl” Fall tour Directed by Karl Frost (USA). A 2 hours Interactive performance for a blindfolded audience. Performed over 20 times in different locations in the west cost along BC, Washington, Oregon and California states during Sep-Nov ’05.
